Since 2008, Cyriaque Lamar has been a rainmaker for some of the most competitive digital publishing firms on the internet.
He was Senior Editor of the Gawker Media sci-fi vertical io9, and Managing Editor of the legacy comedy site Cracked, where his leadership reversed years of declining traffic.
Cyriaque has written hundreds of articles, rewritten thousands of jokes, and cultivated audiences in the millions. He’s seen every catacomb of the content business, and lived to tell the tale.
In January 2025, Cyriaque will release his debut novel, Future, New Jersey, on this very website.
Cyriaque holds an M.A. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University. He is Jewish American, and his name hails from France, where the name “Cyriaque” also remains obscure. He lives in Brooklyn, spending his days in the vicinity of 6’0” and 230 lbs.
